Hooton Story Encourages Students To Avoid Steroids - Taylor Hooton appeared to have the world in the palm of his hand. The 16-year-old was a star athlete, good looking, and well liked by his peers.
Coaches told him that, to get better, he needed to get bigger for his senior year of high school, so he took a short cut and turned to anabolic steroids. This led him down the road of depression and, ultimately, Hooton took his own life. Read More

Dodd Winners Announced!

Pictured: The winners of the Dodd Middle School 4th annual Alcohol Awareness Logo/Slogan Contest; Slogan winner, Claire LeVeir, grade 8, Dodd Principal, Jeff Solan and Logo winner, Allison Lewis, grade  7.
The winners were announced on March 11th at Dodd and were each awarded with a $50.00 Mall gift certificate.
The students designs will be used to promote Alcohol Awareness and the Prevention of Underage Drinking during Cheshire's Alcohol Awareness Week - April 12-16, 2010.

All entries will be displayed at the Cheshire Library.
